I don't remember where I got this info. but oceanography is divided into physical, chemical, and biological concentrations. It depends on what you want. I think that you can do an MO in any of these; the only thing is that you will need to take additional courses for background. for example in physical you need geophysical dynamics, classical fluid physics, and general knowledge in applied mathematics.
