Here is my question. People say Ralph's job is perfectly safe. But if Maryland hasn't made another January 1st or after bowl three or four years from now, what will his status be?

Both Gary and Ralph are Maryland grads. I doubt there have been many other times in College Sports history where both the football and basketball coaches were alums.

When it comes to doing really well in football and basketball, recruiting studs from out-of-state is great. However, IMHO, what is even MORE important than that is recruiting very well in-state almost every year. Gary and Ralph haven't done a bad job doing that, but I think they can do better. Who agrees?
